Tokyo Trash is the creation of New Zealand born artists Carl van Wijk and Wayne Benjamin. Both now residing in Tokyo Japan they are constantly fascinated by the immense array of colorful graphics and styles of Japanese packaging, pamphlets, tickets and all the other millions of printed items bombarding Tokyo life every day.

They set about collecting and sorting these items now destined to become land fill and gave them one more chance to blossom by becoming part of their infinite one off designs. Painstakingly setting about cleaning and gluing items together a new style was born. It is Tokyo Trash. A whimsical and playful look at everyday life in Tokyo, Tokyo Trash does not take itself too seriously.
